Kajsa Amanda Marin

AMANDA was born in the north of Sweden, where movement early became a big interest and passion of them. Amanda has Swedish-Finnsih (Sweden Finns) roots/heritage. Amanda started their dance studies at Kävesta folkhögskola Örebro Sweden and Balettakademien Stockholm Sweden. To continue their work and exploration at the professional contemporary dance school ‘SOZO visions in motion’ in Kassel/Germany. Amanda is a curious, caring, hard worker, with a lot of passion and "sisu".
In their dancing they values high physicality, imagination and playfulness/humour. Striving towards fearlessness, to transgress.

Alongside the artistic and physical work they also enjoys and has a great interest for researching, reading and writing about various topics connected to the dance field. Social rights, feminism, anti racism, gender studies, philosophy/metaphysics and biology are some sources of inspiration and importance in their life right now.

Amanda has been working with choreographers as REGINA VAN BERKEL, JULYEN HAMILTON, DAVID ZAMBRANO, MAYA.M CAROLL, NARENDRA PATIL, MARIT-SHIRIN CAROLASDOTTER, ANNAMARI KESKINEN, EYTAN SIVAK, AGOSTINA D'ALESSANDRO and MICHAEL LANGENECKER.
